98th Session of the International Labour Conference

The member States of the ILO meet at the International Labour Conference, held every year in Geneva, Switzerland, in the month of June.

Each member State is represented by a delegation consisting of two government delegates, an employer delegate, a worker delegate, and their respective advisers.

Amongst the issues to be discussed at the 98th Session of the International Labour Conference to be held from 3rd June to 19th June 2009 are as follows:

  • Elaboration of an autonomous Recommendation on HIV/AIDS in the world of work

  • Employment and social protection in the new demographic context.

  • Gender equality at the heart of decent work.
