The first edition of the Malawi Labour Law Reports is a veritable source of reference material and offers a first - rate reporting service - in terms of selection, topicality, speed and presentation. This credible and objective publication includes over 500 pages of relevant decided cases from four jurisdictions within Malawi from 1999 to 2008.

Malawi Labour Law Reports covers the following legislation: Constitution 1994, Employment Act 2000,Labour Relations Act 1996, Occupational Safety Health and Welfare Act 1996, Workers Compensation Act 2000, Industrial Relations Court (Procedure) Rules 1999, International Labour Organisation (ILO) Conventions.

The cases reported in each volume have been carefully selected on the basis of certain objective criteria which are identified as relevance and soundness of judgment, areas of law covered, whether any precedent is set, confirmed or overturned, judgment date ( relevance to contemporary issues) and seniority of the court delivering the judgment.

The expert editorial team of Justice KC Nyirenda, SC JA and Rachel Zibelu Banda have drawn from their vast experience to ensure that the cases reported are relevant and current.
